Fall camping gear packed on a picnic table with a camper van

Fall RV Packing List: Layers, Power, and Porch Season

From our own shop: a personalized camp flag helps friends spot your site.

Fall is the best porch season if you pack for swings. Days can hit 70. Nights can hit 42. Your closet and power plan need both.

Core pack

  • Two insulating layers plus a shell that blocks wind.
  • Warm hat and gloves even if you swear you will not need them.
  • Extra blankets for the sofa slide.
  • Headlamps. Sunset comes early.

Rig checks

  • Confirm furnace and heat pump before you leave the driveway.
  • Carry a spare 30-to-15 adapter and a surge protector you trust.
  • Top off propane before leaf-peak weekends.

Dress the crew for camp photos too. Grab Camping Crew, RV and Camping is My Jam, or browse RV and camping shirts before the next color-run weekend.
